Range/Habitat: Eastern and Southern African woodlands, scrub and open forests

Conservation Status: LC least concerned conservation dependent. 

Kudu are active throughout the day and their larges ears are extremely sensitive to sound making them difficult to approach. Kudu are accomplished jumpers and can easily clear 8 feet. They are not territorial and group together in small maternal groups. The males have spiraled horns, which can be up to 56 inches long and have up to 3 full turns, well developed for wrestling and sometimes 2 males can become fatally entangled.
